JD Jackson was born in a town just outside of Boston. When he was eight, his family moved to Kansas City, and since he was too young to fend for himself he decided to come along. As a youngster, JD would build miniature radio transmitters. Even with optimal atmospheric conditions, they would broadcast his voice only ten feet, so early on he set his sights on having 100,000 watts of power behind him. JD spun records in the disco era and into the 80's before becoming a familiar voice on Kansas City radio shows on Saturday night. His knowledge and experience with 70's and 80's music (as well as some well-placed "seed" money) set the stage for JD to host Saturday Night with JD Jackson. JD has another job during the week, but since he is a participant in the Federal Witness Protection Program, we can't tell you what it is. (The photo came from a plastic wallet JD bought in Boise, Idaho for $1.98).
